SpaceX successfully launched its 10th flight test of Starship on Tuesday evening.

Weather forced the company to scrub the launch attempt on Monday.

The flight test was originally set for Sunday, but SpaceX said it was “standing down” shortly before the launch window was set to open “to allow time to troubleshoot an issue with ground systems.”

According to a news release, “after completing investigations into the loss of Starship on its ninth flight test and the Ship 36 static fire anomaly, hardware and operational changes have been made to increase reliability."

“The upcoming flight will continue to expand the operating envelope on the Super Heavy booster, with multiple landing burn tests planned. It will also target similar objectives as previous missions, including Starship’s first payload deployment and multiple reentry experiments geared towards returning the upper stage to the launch site for catch,” SpaceX said.

In June, a SpaceX rocket being tested in Texas exploded, sending a dramatic fireball high into the sky.

It marked the latest in a series of incidents involving Starship rockets.

On Jan. 16, one of the massive rockets broke apart in what the company called a “rapid unscheduled disassembly,” sending trails of flaming debris near the Caribbean.

Two months later, SpaceX lost contact with another Starship during a March 6 test flight as the spacecraft broke apart, with wreckage seen streaming over Florida.
