DELTONA, Fla. – Two teens were pistol-whipped and a shot was fired in a Deltona home invasion, Volusia County sheriff's deputies said.

The incident was reported around 10:30 p.m. Thursday in the 1400 block of Di Garmo Terrace.

The Volusia County Sheriff's Office said two masked gunmen entered the garage of the home and encountered a 19-year-old woman and a 16-year-old boy. The gunmen pistol-whipped both teens, and the boy was taken to a hospital for treatment for a cut, deputies said.

The intruders then went into the home, where there were three other residents, deputies said.

There was a struggle involving an 18-year-old man, someone fired a shot into a bedroom wall, deputies said. No one was hurt in the shooting.

The gunmen then ran from the house, deputies said.

It's not known if anything was taken, the Sheriff's Office said.

Deputies said the home invasion was not a random crime, but did not provide any other details why the house was targeted.
