What's that smell in Seminole County? Controlled burns send stench into air
GENEVA, Fla. – If you're wondering what that smell is in the Oviedo area of Seminole County, you're not the only one burning for answers.
A large controlled burn is scheduled Thursday near Geneva, officials said.
Crews plan to burn 2,500 acres in the Little Big Econ State Forest.
It's one of several recent burns designed to clear dry brush to prevent future brush fires.
Thursday's burn is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.
