Women injured in Orlando airport tram accident

2 taken to local hospitals

ORLANDO, Fla. – Two women suffered minor injuries when a tram at Orlando International Airport made an emergency stop.

The incident occurred around 5 p.m. Wednesday as storms were hitting the area.

Airport spokeswoman Carolyn Fennell said the incident could have been triggered by foul weather.

Both women were taken to the hospital.

Airport officials are reviewing the incident.

Earlier this year Adam Lee, 32, died after he was sent through the tram's windshield when it stopped suddenly. He fell 15 feet to the ground.
