Into the wild🐉

Asian Lantern Festival: Into the Wild (Copyright 2024 by WKMG ClickOrlando - All rights reserved.)

Remember last week when I told you all I was checking out an event from my list of must-dos?

Hi, friends! It’s Brenda, back in your inbox for all the Central Florida Happenings.

I finally checked out the Asian Lantern Festival at the Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens last week and boy, did I absolutely enjoy it! I loved the lanterns and taking in the sights throughout the zoo.

A perfect date night idea or something fun to do with the family!

That event is still going on throughout the month but in case you’re looking for something else to check out this weekend, here are some other happenings ⤵️

(Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts)

What do you get when you combine a circus and the holidays 🎪🎁?

“Cirque Mechanics Winter Wonder Shoppe” is setting up outside the Dr. Phillips Center in Orlando.

Under a brightly-colored Big Top, you can expect to see world-renowned aerial and acrobatic artists as they interact with innovative mechanical devices.

Setting the Stage newsletter author Brooke Savage interviewed one of the artists performing during the event. Click here to learn more about the show and to check out the interview.

Tales of Terror (Copyright 2024 by WKMG ClickOrlando - All rights reserved.)

Who says horror can’t be part of the most wonderful time of the year 😧?

Tales of Terror is opening its first high-intensity Christmas haunt at a new venue in Central Florida. It features two trails, a scare zone, photo ops, food trucks and live entertainment.

The theme for the haunt is “Krampus’ Festival of Frights” and one of the trails even takes guests to Krampus’s home. The other trail takes those who are brave enough up close to the elf assembly line – but the workers are rioting against the jolly man.

The holiday haunt is for those 18 years and older. Click here to check out tickets about the limited-time Lake County event.

The Festival of Lights event will bring “holiday spirit, family fun and community joy” with letters to Santa, a kids zone and parade to end the night 🎉.

“Watch in wonder as illuminated floats, joyful characters, and holiday spirit light up the streets in a celebration you won’t want to miss,” the city said.
