đ âCarouselâ from Little Radical Theatrics at Dr. Phillips Center
Little Radical Theatrics is back and this time theyâre performing Rodgers and Hammersteinâs âCarouselâ tonight, tomorrow, and Sunday.
Voted the best musical of the 20th century by Time Magazine in 1999, the musical explores human frailty, resilience, and the power of forgiveness.
I had the chance to hear from different actors in the show and how they plan to portray their characters. Click here to see their answers and for ticket information.
â Also happening at Dr. Phillips Center this weekend... a show about RBG!
Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg is known to be a towering womenâs rights champion who became the courtâs second female justice.
Now, thereâs a show celebrating her life and her journey to the nationâs highest court.
âAll Things Equal: The Life & Trials of Ruth Bader Ginsburgâ starts with Supreme Court Justice âRBGâ welcoming a family friend to her chambers to tell them about her life and the challenges she has faced. Michelle Azar plays RBG in the show.
She told me all about what to expect during Sundayâs performance in an episode of my Setting the Stage podcast.
đˇ This exhibit is celebrating Central Floridaâs diverse cultures
Thereâs a new exhibit at Orlando Museum of Art, and it really gives insight into the people from different cultures and backgrounds living here in Central Florida.
In the âJuan David Tena: Portraits of FusionFestâ exhibit, photographer Juan David Tena reveals different portraits from the annual festival that has taken place every Thanksgiving weekend for the last 7 years.
During the last event, FusionFest used its database to request those interested to apply to sit for a portrait with Tena. For those who did not apply, FusionFest representatives went around the festival and brought participants to the photographer. The participants were fully adorned in the garments of their culture.
Tena shared the message behind the portraits in his exhibit running through May 4.
đ Get in loser, âMean Girlsâ is coming to Central Florida
Who are The Plastics? Theyâre teen royalty, and theyâll be putting on a musical next week.
First, they will be at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Orlando on March 28-30 and then at Peabody Auditorium in Daytona Beach on March 31.
If youâre trying to decide which date to go, I highly recommend opening night at Dr. Phillips Center. They will have some special events you wonât want to miss.
