World of Motion, Living with the Land, Spaceship Earth — this new version of Test Track didn’t hold back on the EPCOT nods.
Greetings, friends. It’s Haley dropping an early edition of the In the Loop: Theme Park Scoops newsletter ahead of the holiday weekend.

The way Test Track was rethemed is the direction Disney has been going for quite some time. It’s another story where they are actively figuring out the future.
Test Track presented by General Motors is all about the evolution of mobility, showing concept vehicles that date back to the early 20th century.
With the removal of the design room, which was a key feature in Test Track 2.0, guests are just along for the ride, and not participating.
While I would have liked to have seen more nods to the original Test Track, there is a lot to see and hear with the new technology and scenery. You have two voices throughout your journey this time, a human guide as well as the vehicle.

Final Frontierland days 🪵
When a longtime Walt Disney World attraction closes (and there have been quite a few lately), we’re reminded of what makes it special.
Tom Sawyer Island at Disneyland was a true Walt Disney creation, as it was built on his love for Mark Twain stories and adventure. That inspiration carried over to Tom Sawyer Island at Walt Disney World.
The final days to experience Tom Sawyer Island, Rivers of America, and the Liberty Square Riverboat are here, as Disney World prepares for a new frontier.
Tracking monarchs 🦋
Call me “Mother Monarch” because I’ve developed a new hobby — butterfly watching.
I was recently gifted a milkweed plant, and it’s done its job in attracting caterpillars.
At Disney World, scientists are playing a crucial role in saving monarch butterflies as technology is being used to track migration, habitat use, and health.
Singing “1985″ in 2025 🎤
I haven’t been this excited about an EPCOT festival concert series in a while.
Disney announced its almost full lineup of acts for the “Eat to the Beat” concert series.
You’ve got familiar names like Boyz II Men, then new additions like The Beach Boys and Bowling for Soup.

Discovery Cove
10 million snorkels 🥽
When I rolled up to Discovery Cove the other day, the line to get in was the longest I’d ever seen it.
Guests were eager to get in and enjoy their day. Over the course of 25 years, the all-inclusive day resort has welcomed 8 million guests and given out 10 million snorkels.
To celebrate its anniversary milestone, Discovery Cove is having a social media giveaway.
