Erin Plus Two More Waves

No description found

Sorry for the newsletter being late! We had some nasty storms in Central Florida that I had to tend to.

Anyway let’s get right to it.

Erin is a massive hurricane that continues to turn away from land. Because of the storm’s size, tropical storm conditions are being felt in the Turks and Caicos. While the storm will NEVER make landfall in the U.S. (unless you believe TikTok...my gosh please don’t believe TikTok) tropical storm conditions will likely be felt along the Outer Banks and coastal Virginia.

Rip Currents, huge waves and dangerous beach conditions will be felt all up and down the Atlantic coast, including Florida.

The wave behind Erin

There are still a lot of questions as to what happens with the tropical wave in the Central Atlantic (ornage).

It’s a little too early to know for sure, but I am cautiously optimistic.

The European model shows a nice big dip in the Jetstream on the eastern 1/3 of the U.S. at about the time the disturbance is near/around the Greater Antilles.

That trough means EVERYTHING. If the Euro has the upper-level pattern modeled correctly then it will go out to sea like Erin.

That will be the thing to watch...that trough digging out of Canada. If this does happen to get close to the U.S. it would be early next week. But again that is a big IF.

Strength is in question as well because there appears to be more land interaction in the Caribbean which would disrupt development.

Some euro ensemble members to keep it near the Florida Straights and get it into the Gulf. So it’s still something to watch.

Euro ensembles

The new wave...yellow blob off Africa has a chance to ride low into the Caribbean, but that’s far out there.

Stay tuned. I’ll keep you posted!
