In the battle of front yard mushrooms versus the Texas heat, the Texas heat will always win.
My front yard is confused. It thinks we now live in Houston. I can't believe I'm seeing mushrooms growing in the front yard. The front yard is exposed to full daylight.
The Moon and Venus put on quite the show tonight, but wait! There's more. The white dots just to the lower right of the Moon are part of a cluster of about 1,000 stars called the Beehive Cluster.
Tonight's celestial trifecta. From the top left to the bottom right of the picture we have Venus, Jupiter, and the Moon.

What a way to end what started out as a rainy day. Wow!
Went down to McAllister Park today to see if there was any flooding. I saw some ponding of water on the park roads in spots and a little bit of water across a couple of low water crossings. That was pretty much it.
Lake Stone Oak is back, and you know what that means. Better grab your bug spray. You're going to need it.
Made it through the first round of rain. Now waiting on round two.
The rain showers were so close. Hoping for better luck tomorrow.
Lots of instability today. Just waiting on the rain to hit my house.
