Autumn, who used to work in healthcare, described what it was like to transition into entrepreneurship.
“At first it was very difficult, but honestly, what was a turning point for me was the pandemic,” she said. “I was so burnt out in what I was doing, unfulfilled, would go to work early in the morning, my kids are asleep, I come home late at night, my kids are asleep; like, I felt like I was missing a lot of, just, family life and being able to spend time with Ivan and with my kids and I would come home literally mentally and physically exhausted and I’d say, ‘You know, something has to give.’”

When you do get around to building or rebuilding your life in a similar way, it’s important to accept the time it can take before you start to see consistent success. For Ivan’s work in being a publicist, his clientele usually set the pace.
“You can be the best thing in the world since sliced bread with a client, and then things can change, and lots of times it’s not you. It could be a financial shift for them, it can be a change of direction of what they want to see in their lives; so, I just always prepare myself and recognize that every client is temporary. Some might be several months, some might be two years, some might be 10 years if you’re fortunate enough, but it’s all contingent upon their needs,” Ivan said.
