When it comes to wearing a mask or facial covering in the fight against COVID-19, it’s all about reducing respiratory secretions -- you don’t want to expose yourself to other people’s droplets, nor do you want to spread your coughs and sneezes with others.

Remember, people can be positive for the novel coronavirus and not even know it or feel that sick -- which is largely what it means to be an asymptomatic carrier.

And that’s why we all need to be as careful as possible.
