Legoland's New Hotel & Land
Legoland Florida is already the largest Lego park in the world, and it is getting bigger again.
Let's start with the bricks.
The park announced today the new 152-room Legoland Hotel will open May 15th. Featuring themed rooms...
Lots of Lego touches inside and out - including Lego building sets for kids of all ages to play with in each room. But it won't just be little ones building with Lego.
Unique to Legoland Florida, the Master Model Builder Workshop.
where all of the park's models are made and repaired is moving to the hotel so guests can look on and meet the pros.
Also this summer: an entire new land at Legoland. The three year-old park is expanding again.
This time the girls are the focus. "Heartlake City" is based on the female-oriented 'Friends' line of Legos. It will feature an interactive show, 'Friends to the Rescue' as well as new shops inside Heartlake Mall.
The centerpiece is "Mia's Riding Adventure." It is a horse-themed disc-coaster made by Zamperla. It's kind of like a merry-go-round on a coaster. Here's video.

But our area's newest theme park is not the only one making news today. One of our oldest attractions, Gatorland, is branching out.
The park is teaming up with Fun Spot America for a new attraction there called (what else) "GATOR SPOT"
Land is already cleared, and the groundbreaking is set for next week. To celebrate, the park will give out free ride wristbands for 20 minues.
I'll have more on what GATOR SPOT will feature tomorrow. (hint: Expect gators)
