Orlando City introduces striker Dom Dwyer

Lions get forward in trade with Sporting Kansas City

ORLANDO, Fla. – MLS star forward Dom Dwyer is back in Central Florida after a blockbuster trade by the Orlando City Lions.

Hundreds of excited soccer fans welcomed Dwyer as he arrived at Orlando International Airport Tuesday night.

Dwyer most recently played for Sporting Kansas City, and is moving to the City Beautiful after a trade between the two teams.

Dwyer is no stranger to Orlando. He played soccer in Central Florida when Orlando City was a USL Pro Team.

Dwyer was formally introduced by the team at a news conference on Wednesday.

"I knew I wanted to come back here and last night really assured it for me," Dwyer said during the news conference. "Arriving to the airport to that was amazing and I really felt special."
