‘Unwavering support:’ Orlando City signs coach Oscar Pareja to new 3-year contract

Deal keeps Lions coach in Orlando through 2028

ORLANDO, Fla. – Orlando City officials announced on Wednesday that they have signed head coach Oscar Pareja to a new three-year contract that will keep him at the club until 2028.

Pareja has led the Lions to an 88-58-56 record in 202 matches, including taking the team to five-consecutive Audi MLS Cup Playoffs appearances.

He also ranks as the fifth-winningest head coach in MLS history with 176 all-time wins and ranks second among head coaches currently active in Major League Soccer behind Bruce Arena.

“First and foremost, I want to express my deepest gratitude to Mark Wilf, his family, the entire ownership group, and our executive board for their continued trust in the vision and culture we’ve built over the years,” Pareja said. “Their unwavering support is the foundation of everything we strive to achieve each day.”

Prior to Pareja’s stint in Orlando, he was the coach at Club Tijuana of Liga MX for one season and before that spent five seasons at the helm of FC Dallas.
