MIAMI – Florida authorities have issued a warrant for the arrest of former NFL superstar Antonio Brown, who’s wanted on a charge of attempted murder in connection with a shooting at a celebrity boxing event in May, according to the Washington Post.
The warrant, which was signed by a judge Wednesday, lists a charge of attempted murder with a firearm and calls for Brown, 36, to post a $10,000 bond and remain under house arrest pending trial.
A spokesman for the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office declined to comment, according to the report.

Brown, who lives in Fort Lauderdale, last played in the NFL with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2021.
The criminal charge stems from an incident outside a boxing event hosted by popular streamer Adin Ross in the Little Haiti neighborhood of Miami.
Brown was detained by police and released hours later.
According to the warrant, however, Miami police detectives later obtained video that appears to show Brown punching another man, sparking a melee, and the footage later shows Brown appearing to take the gun of a security officer and running toward the man he had punched, the Washington Post reported.
Brown played for the Pittsburgh Steelers from 2010 to 2018, where he emerged as one of the NFL’s top receiving threats and twice led the league in receiving yards. His career took a downturn because of various on- and off-field issues, including his contract being voided by the Oakland Raiders before the start of the 2019 season.
He split his final three NFL seasons with New England and Tampa Bay, and his career ended with Brown stripping off his jersey, pads and gloves, while walking off the field during the Buccaneers’ 2021 regular-season finale against the New York Jets. Brown announced his retirement a few months later.
