Orlando City fell to the LA Galaxy 2-1 in the Leagues Cup third place match on Sunday at Dignity Health Sports Park, securing a fourth-place finish in their best tournament run to date.
Marco Reus gave the Galaxy an early advantage, finding the net in the ninth minute. Orlando’s Martín Ojeda equalized in the 60th minute, connecting on a volley after a combination play with Luis Muriel and Ivan Angulo inside the box.

The equalizer marked Ojeda’s fourth goal of the tournament and his 18th across all competitions in 2025.
LA secured the victory in the 67th minute when Joseph Paintsil capitalized on a turnover in Orlando’s half, striking a low shot from outside the penalty area.
Orlando City returns to MLS action following the international break, visiting D.C. United at Audi Field on Saturday, Sept. 13.
