ORLANDO, Fla. – Long time, no see, Orlando Pride! The reigning NWSL champions have not played a match during the entire month of July.
Their long international break comes to an end this weekend. The Pride host the Utah Royals on Sunday at 6 p.m.
For head coach Seb Hines, the return to action couldn’t have come soon enough. The Pride lost their last match to Louisville.
Hines has had to think about it ever since. He spent the long break figuring out ways to make his talented club even better, creating winning strategies as the NWSL prepares for the second half of the season.
After a record-breaking 2024, the Orlando Pride have been the league’s targeted team this season. They’ve handled the pressure well and currently sit in second place in the standings.
However, by season’s end, the Pride want to be back at the top. News 6 Sports Director Jamie Seh sat down with Seb Hines recently.
