WELLINGTON, Fla. – A Florida church that currently meets at a high school is considering buying a former strip club to hold its services.

The Palm Beach Post reports officials at NewSound Church are in negotiations to purchase the Double Dee's Ranch building that was once owned by a man accused of mob ties. It closed late last year.

Pastor Josh Mauney told the Post that the church is looking to expand "whether in this location or another." The church was established in 2018 and meets at Wellington High School.

The ex-strip club offers 20,000 square feet of space. It is listed for $9 million and has been on the market since November 2018.
