Emmy-nominated reporter Pavlina Osta joined News 6 from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where she worked as an anchor and reporter.

Pavlina got her start early — as a steel drum street performer in her hometown of Daytona Beach, Florida. By age 11, she'd launched her own radio show, Pavlina's Kidz Place, interviewing celebrities about the obstacles they'd overcome. Her first guests included Kevin Jonas, NBA great Vince Carter, Big Time Rush, the late Eddie Money and Jack Johnson.

By 18, she'd logged more than 800 interviews, several of which went viral, and she set a Guinness World Record for "Most Radio Interviews in 24 Hours."

Pavlina interned for iHeartRadio and Sean Hannity in New York City at 16, then took a job with Salem Media her senior year of high school — moving to New York on her own and finishing her International Baccalaureate online with honors while working full time. She went on to produce shows at the White House and other major venues as executive director and producer of podcasts for Salem Media, and became a regular guest on national and international TV discussing Generation Z.

She earned a scholarship to The King's College, completing her bachelor's degree in Media, Culture and the Arts in three years. During the pandemic, while living in New York City, Pavlina got certified as a yoga instructor and wrote her best-selling book, "20 Things Every Motivated 20-Something Should Know."

After six years in New York, Pavlina headed to Michigan's Upper Peninsula as an evening news anchor at WLUC TV6, later moving to mornings and earning Best News Anchor 2024 from the Michigan Association of Broadcasters.

Pavlina says she's honored to be back home in Florida, telling the stories that matter and helping keep her community informed every day.
