Light pole falls on Animal Kingdom ride
Ride reopens after inspection
No description foundWALT DISNEY WORLD, Fla. – A light pole fell on a ride Wednesday afternoon at Animal Kingdom, forcing the park to shut it down.
Park officials believe a gust of wind toppled the pole, which fell onto the tracks of Expedition Everest.
Disney officials told Local 6 the ride was shut down for about an hour as light pole fell onto the rollercoaster tracks and halted the ride.
The ride was closed but reopened after an inspection by crew members.
There were no injuries and no damage to any other rides.
