ORLANDO, Fla. – The spooky season is still a few months away, but horror fans can get their frightful fix in Orlando this weekend, including exclusive panels of two premier Halloween festivals.

Spooky Empire, the largest convention for horror fans in the United States, runs Friday through Sunday at the Doubletree by Hilton at SeaWorld.

In addition to celebrities, poolside movies, games and costume contests, convention organizers are promising a panel offering an inside look at Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights on Friday night at 5 p.m.

Details about the panel have not been released yet, but Universal often hosts an HHN panel at Spooky Empire.

So far, Universal has only unveiled the themes for two of the event’s signature haunted houses, with one house featuring Jason Voorhees of the Friday the 13th franchise, and another featuring the “Fallout” franchise. Halloween Horror Nights runs on select nights starting Aug. 29.

SeaWorld will also bring its Halloween festival to Spooky Empire with a panel for Howl-O-Scream on Sunday at noon, featuring the voices behind the characters.

“Secrets will surface… will you hear the Sirens’ call?" the description reads.

Howl-O-Scream at SeaWorld starts Sept. 12 and runs on select nights. The Halloween event is celebrating its fifth year.

Spooky Empire attendees will also be able to meet celebrities like “Clockwork Orange” star Malcolm McDowell, “Shawn of the Dead” co-writer and star Simon Pegg, legendary film composer Danny Elfman, and more.
