Disney workers to rally for higher pay

Unions asking for $15 an hour minimum pay

ORLANDO, Fla. – Hundreds of Walt Disney World employees will be out in full force Thursday to rally for higher pay. 

Unions representing nearly 40,000 Disney workers are asking for their minimum pay to be increased to $15 per hour.

The company is offering raises lower than the requested amount. 

Workers are expected to rally for those higher wages Thursday at 5 p.m. at the Crossroads entrance to Walt Disney World. 

Similar rallies by hospitality workers are planned in several other cities at the same time.
