Thompson had his second 30-point performance since returning Jan. 9 from a two-year absence following knee and Achilles surgeries. Giannis Antetokounmpo had 31 points and eight rebounds, but the Warriors’ defense held the rest of the Bucks down. New forward DeAndre' Bembry, only signed last month when the Nets waived him, injured his right knee and was helped to the locker room with 2:31 left in the third quarter.

Embiid put the 76ers ahead for good at 117-116 with a 10-footer with 2:32 left. But the 76ers scored the next eight points to pull back ahead for good in the final game for both teams before the All-Star break. Holiday scored 24 points for the Bucks, Middleton had 19, Jordan Nwora 18 and Bobby Portis 17.

Nic Claxton added 11 points and Blake Griffin and Bruce Brown each finished with 10 points as Brooklyn lost its third straight. Nets: The Nets have had their season upended by the pandemic.
