A man accused of shooting and killing a Boone High School student in 2018 is due in court for a possible plea hearing.

Orange County Sheriff John Mina held a news conference Friday morning to announce an arrest in the 2018 shooting death of 15-year-old Alejandro “Alex” Vargas Martinez.
