A judge on Tuesday dismissed testimony from a new witness who said he falsely identified inmate Michael Rigby in a 2008 attempted robbery, leaving Rigby’s conviction in place despite the witness’s recantation.

Michael Rigby, the inmate whose 2010 escape from the Osceola County Jail prompted a major personnel overhaul, is seeking to leave the facility legally after he says new evidence has emerged.
