Orlando, Fla. – It was March 5, 2020 when AdventHealth saw its first COVID patient. “He was here with us and it was early in the pandemic and we didn’t know a lot about the disease we didn’t know a lot about treating it,” Johnson said. AdRandy Haffner, CEO of AdventHealth’s Central Florida Division, was in Utah at a conference when the shutdowns began. AdventHealth officials said this was the challenge healthcare workers didn’t see coming from working long hours daily, to shortage of medical supplies, to seeing patients pass from the virus. ORLANDO, Fla. – AdventHealth will soon have a new president and CEO for its Central Florida Division. Randy Haffner will take the helm starting Feb. 1. In his new role, Haffner will oversee the strategic direction, development and expansion of the entire division, which includes 18 campuses across seven counties. Haffner currently serves as senior executive vice president for AdventHealth and president/CEO for the Multi-State Division, where he leads the division’s five regions, which comprise 20 campuses across eight states. He also earned a doctorate in leadership studies from Andrews University.
