Students at the University of Central Florida say a racist email threatening to shoot minority students circulated on campus Thursday, prompting fear and leading some to leave classes early.

The Police Department at the University of Central Florida has a new chief.

Robin Griffin-Kitzerow will replace Carl Metzger, who will stay on as the associate vice president of public safety. Metzger has served as chief since 2018.
