A former Satellite High School teacher appeared before the Brevard County School Board Tuesday night, urging members to reinstate her after her contract was not renewed.

The Florida Board of Education will determine whether a Brevard County teacher who lost her job over her use of a student’s preferred name will be able to keep her teaching certificate.
