A plea hearing is scheduled for the mother of an 11-year-old who is accused of shooting two teens at a Pop Warner football practice in Apopka.

The State Attorney’s Office announced on Thursday that she had left the firearm in a “worn and tattered” cardboard box without any safety locks or fasteners.
