A legal battle over the use of Steamboat Willie, Disney’s pioneering animated character, is unfolding in federal court.

The earliest iteration of Mickey Mouse is on a rampage, barely two days in the public domain.

Billing itself as “the first-ever live-action Mickey Mouse comedy-horror feature film,” a trailer for “Mickey’s Mouse Trap” was released on Monday.

He is almost 95 years old, but the original Mickey Mouse from "Steamboat Willie" is starting to pop back up on clothes, rides and other merchandise.
