Mikaela Shiffrin has opened the Olympic slalom season in convincing style by dominating a World Cup race in Finnish Lapland for her record-extending 102nd career win.

Ski star Mikaela Shiffrin has added yet another chapter to her book of World Cup records by becoming the first to reach the milestone of 100 career wins.

Swiss skier Marco Odermatt broke the 23-year-old men’s record for most World Cup points in a single season after dominating the giant slalom at the World Cup Finals.

Mikaela Shiffrin has done quite a lot in only 12 years.
