Charities received $592.5 billion in donations in 2024, a 3.3% increase over 2023, after adjusting for inflation, according to the most recent ”Giving USA″ report, which takes a comprehensive look at U.S. philanthropy.

U.S. donors gave $3.6 billion on Tuesday, an increase from the past two years, according to estimates from the nonprofit GivingTuesday.

A report released Thursday says more than 90% of donors who supported racial equity initiatives in 2018 have yet to report how much they gave in 2020.
