As hurricane season rolls on, some folks are sitting and scratching their heads wondering why the season seems like it's off to such a slow start. To help get a better idea of why this is, we turn to "analog" seasons. The name analog has a specific meaning to it, and encompasses a vast amount of different weather variables. As a result, it gets often misused in a variety of different incorrect contexts! So I want to help dispel any common misconceptions behind what an analog really is.
