Drivers in Apopka say relief can’t come soon enough as the city moves forward with plans to widen Ocoee-Apopka Road, one of the region’s most congested corridors.

APOPKA, Fla. - The last major step toward completing the new full interchange between State Road 429 and State Road 414 is underway this week. Drivers will see construction in that area as the Orlando-Orange County Expressway Authority finish up the final paving operations. The following areas will be under construction from 8 p.m. to 5 p.m.:· Southbound S.R. · Westbound S.R. 414 between Keene Road and County Road 437A (Ocoee-Apopka Road) on Wednesday, July 18.
