Central Florida is in for soggy weather with the potential for severe storms Sunday and Monday, followed by a notable drop in temperatures as a cold front moves through, according to News 6 meteorologist Michelle Morgan.

A tropical disturbance that brought a rare flash flood emergency to much of southern Florida delayed flights at two of the state’s largest airports and left vehicles waterlogged and stalled in some of the region’s lowest-lying streets.

The dry season has been living up to its name recently. While this is the driest period of the year, the region is running anywhere from 2.5″ to 5″ below normal in the rainfall department.
