NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla. – Trooper Steve welcomed New Smyrna Beach fire Lt. Adam Sawri into the truck for a special live stream to talk about a brand-new community tradition called “Stormy’s Run.”
The weekly event, launched by Chief Delgado, is being held in honor of two fallen brothers, Mark and Doug. Every Friday at 8:30 a.m., runners, joggers, and walkers are invited to meet at City Hall along Sams Avenue and take part in the two-mile round trip to the old Stormy’s location and back.
It’s more than just exercise; it’s about camaraderie, honoring legacy, and creating a space where the community can come together each week.

Lt. Sawri will join me to share details about how the run started, what it means to the department and the city, and how anyone can get involved, whether you’re lacing up your sneakers to run or just walking for a few extra steps.
