Riverbank erosion forces lane closures on US-1 in Melbourne

Erosion on the banks of the Indian River due to recent heavy rains and flooding has prompted the Florida Department of Transportation to close two northbound lanes on a stretch of U.S. Highway 1 in Melbourne, according to city officials.
