Man tries breaking into Deltona home with teen girl inside, sheriff's office says

She ran out the back door and escaped to a neighbor's. The suspect bent and damaged the patio door, then broke off the handle to the door leading into the house. He surrendered to responding deputies, appeared highly intoxicated and did not explain what he was doing there. Richard Colon was charged with burglary of an occupied dwelling, child neglect, criminal mischief, and resisting without violence. He later posted $17,000 bond and was released from the Volusia County Branch Jail on Monday evening."
