Potential swatting incident targets Volusia County schools with bomb threats

Several Volusia County high schools received bomb threats Monday morning, prompting an investigation and an increase in law enforcement on campuses around the county. The Volusia Sheriff’s Office says there are no credible threats in the emails, all of which had identical wording. Investigators said the emails also originated from an overseas VPN account, so they believe it may have been a swatting attempt designed to disrupt.
