Getting hot in Orlando with temperatures near 90 this weekend

ORLANDO, Fla. – We are pinpointing a little bit more humid air working into Central Florida on Friday.

With a little bit more humidity, we will see a few more clouds. Most of the clouds into the afternoon will be high and the sun will be able to filter through.

Orlando will warm to a high temperature of 81 degrees. The average high on this date is 84. The record high is 96, set in 1968.

Slight rain chances return for the weekend. Expect a 20% coverage of rain on Saturday as a new front approaches.

The front moves into the northern sections of our area Sunday morning. It will weaken and break apart as it continues to slide into the central zones. There will be a 30% coverage of rain on Sunday, with the possibility of some storms packing strong winds and heavy rain.

By the start of next week, we will be dry but hot.

Saturday and Sunday will see highs near 90.

We will have temperatures in the mid- to upper 80s most of next week, with very little rain.

Orlando’s rain deficit for the year is 0.76 inches.
