Warmup underway in Central Florida. Here’s how toasty it will get

Cooldown in Orlando area not expected until next week

ORLANDO, Fla. – Quiet conditions continue Wednesday morning across Central Florida.

High pressure over the Southeast will stay in control over the next several days as it gradually shifts into the western Atlantic.

After a foggy morning, the skies will become mostly sunny in the afternoon, with highs maxing out in the mid- to low 80s.

In the evening, mostly clear skies are forecast, with areas of fog expected again. Visibilities have the potential to drop to a mile or less at times, leading up to sunrise. Overnight lows will drop in to the mid-50s to mid-60s.

As we head into the later part of the week and into the weekend, humidity will begin to creep back into the area. This will still keep overall dry conditions in place, but there may be the opportunity for a few onshore moving showers, with coverage at 10 percent.

Temperatures will remain warmer than normal through the weekend, in the low to mid-80s. Sunday will remain warm as our next front approaches the area by Monday.

Forecast models are in good agreement that a cool front will clear the area by Sunday night. Breezy to windy conditions are forecast to develop with highs cooling into the mid- to upper 70s for the first half of next week.
