Foggy start in Central Florida before couple of cold fronts this week. Here’s what to expect

Front brings chance of showers, thunderstorms mid-week

ORLANDO, Fla. – We’re starting 2024 on a cool and foggy note. Fog mixed with lingering smoke from fireworks has reduced visibility to less than one mile in a lot of spots this morning.

The fog clears by mid-morning, leaving us with a partly cloudy sky. Highs today climb to 69 with west winds at 5-10 mph.

We’re pinpointing a cold front that will come through overnight Monday into Tuesday. It should move through dry but will bring some clouds. Overnight lows drop to around 50. Highs on Tuesday reach the low 60s.

Our active week continues with another front headed our way late Wednesday into Thursday. That front brings a 50-60% chance of showers and a few thunderstorms late Wednesday.

We will clear it out for the end of the week, before another system moves into Central Florida on Saturday, again bringing the chance of showers and some thunderstorms.
