ORLANDO, Fla. – Dry, warm and breezy weather continues for the next several days across Central Florida as a large ridge of high pressure remains in place over the western Atlantic.

Tuesday afternoon, east-southeast winds will pick up, gusting from 15-25 mph, with the strongest gusts along the coast.

Along the strong breeze, a spotty sprinkle can’t be ruled out along the immediate coastline. Partly cloudy skies are expected for most of Central Florida as highs climb to near normal -- in the low 80s.

Winds will increase even further by Wednesday as highs warm into the mid-80s with a few more isolated showers moving in along the breeze.

A developing low and associated cold front digging across the Southeast will make its way into Central Florida by Thursday afternoon. Showers and storms along the front look to move in by the afternoon and clearing by the evening. Rain chances are forecast at 50-80%, with a few strong to severe storms embedded.

The Storm Prediction Center has highlighted the area north of I-4 in a Marginal Risk (Level 1/5) for severe weather.

Drier and slightly cooler air settles in behind the front by Friday, with highs back to the low 80s followed by a gradual warming trend into the weekend.
