The threat for showers and a few storms will shift further inland by late afternoon and into the early evening hours as sea breezes collide.

The latest models show the collision occurring Tuesday evening across western Orange and Osceola counties, producing a 20-30% chance of rain. Later in the evening, the showers will weaken as they drift east.

Afternoon highs will be near 80 degrees along the coast, and the mid- to upper 80s further inland.

Overnight temperatures again remain mild, mainly in the 60s to low 70s areawide.

We will be kickstarting the month of May with highs in the 90s across interior locations. Coastal communities stay a few degrees cooler thanks to the sea breeze.

This little hint of the rainy season lingers through Wednesday, with another shot to see some early coastal showers and a few inland afternoon storms.

Heading into the weekend, don’t expect any big changes as we will remain hot and dry.
