Fall-like end to the weekend in Central Florida, despite a few showers

Temperatures remain in normal range with some cloud cover

ORLANDO, Fla. – Central Floridians are experiencing a pleasant end to their weekend with a fall-like atmosphere amidst a few isolated showers.

Temperatures are maintaining a normal range with the mercury expected to reach a high of 84 degrees by 4 p.m.

While there are more clouds than in previous days, a decent amount of sunshine will still be present. Isolated showers are expected throughout the day, particularly impacting coastal regions. Winds from the northeast are helping push these rains toward the coast, with gusts reaching up to 25 mph.

As the week progresses, Central Florida can expect a continuation of mild weather. Temperatures will remain consistently in the low-to-mid 80s, with overnight lows hovering around 70 degrees.

Tropics update:

In the tropics, attention is on two systems: Tropical Depression Nadine and Hurricane Oscar. Neither of these systems pose a threat to Central Florida at this time.

Oscar quickly developed into a compact hurricane on Saturday. It made landfall in the southeastern Bahamas and is anticipated to continue moving over eastern Cuba. Eventually, a trough of low pressure should steer Oscar away from the United States.
