Storm chances rise midweek in Central Florida

A few storms could be strong Wednesday

The SPC has all of Central Florida in a marginal risk (1/5) on severe weather scale.

The pretty usual break in widespread afternoon storms is expected to continue Tuesday.

Dry air spilling in from the northeast will limit storm development Tuesday.

Rain chances will be at 20% Tuesday afternoon.

Strong Storms Possible Wednesday

Storm chances rise a touch to 40%, but the storms that develop could be strong.

Future radar for 6/25. Storm chances will be limited, but the ones that do develop could become strong.

An upper-level disturbance moving in from the Atlantic will help create additional instability.

An upper-level disturbance is expected to move over Florida midweek

At this time, large hail and damaging wind will be the main threats.

The Storm Prediction Center currently has all of Central Florida in a marginal risk (1/5) on their severe weather scale.

Storm chances become more widespread Thursday. A few of those could also be strong as the upper-level disturbance departs.
