Hurricane Erin passed safely by the Sunshine State, but dangerous beach conditions will continue through the weekend.

Erin, moving north at 14 mph is expected top strengthen back into a major hurricane as it passes in between Bermuda and the Outer Banks of North Carolina.

Behind Erin, a tropical wave over the central Atlantic, has a high chance for development over the next seven days.

Tropical wave across Central Atlantic has a 70% chance for development

The disturbance is expected to lift northeast of the Caribbean towards Bermuda.

The National Hurricane Center gives this disturbance a 70% chance to develop over the next seven days.

In the Eastern Atlantic southwest of the Cabo Verde islands, a disturbance tagged Invest 99L has a chance to become a short-lived tropical depression or storm.

By the end of the week, environmental conditions are expected to become unfavorable for development.

The National Hurricane Center gives this entity a 40% chance to develop.

The next two names on the 2025 Atlantic hurricane season list are Fernand and Gabrielle.
