Active weather pattern returns to Central Florida. Here’s what’s in store

Rain chances rise, especially southeast of I-4 in Orlando area

ORLANDO, Fla. – A more active weather pattern is setting up across Central Florida, with rain coverage increasing Wednesday through the end of the week.

A low-pressure system over the Carolinas is pulling a frontal boundary southward into Florida, while deep tropical moisture continues to push in from the south.

Wednesday Weather Setup

This combination will bring a noticeable uptick in clouds, showers and isolated thunderstorms, particularly south and east of the I-4 corridor.

Rain chances on Wednesday will range from 40–60% from Melbourne to Orlando and surrounding areas, with lower chances to the north. Storms won’t be particularly strong, but slow-moving storms could lead to short-term localized flooding.
