More scattered showers in Central Florida. Here’s when that fall front arrives

Cooler air expected by weekend in Orlando area

ORLANDO, Fla.Breezy and gusty onshore winds are sticking around in Central Florida through much of the week, bringing dangerous conditions along the coastline.

For the next few days, rough surf, rip currents, minor coastal flooding and beach erosion will remain the largest threats, especially around high tide.

TUESDAY-WEDNESDAY

Gusty onshore winds will persist, bringing in scattered showers throughout the day. Even outside of rain, expect breezy conditions, with highs in the mid- to upper 80s.

THURSDAY & FRIDAY

Conditions become more unsettled as a weak low develops near the Bahamas. Expect chances to increase along the coast, with rain chances at 60-80%.

Coastal flooding could worsen, with high-tide cycles bringing water levels close to moderate flood thresholds.

Daytime highs begin to cool into the low 80s, and overnight lows dip into the low 70s.

SATURDAY

A cold front is expected to push through Central Florida late Friday and into Saturday morning, bringing scattered showers.

Behind the front, cooler and drier air starts to move in, with highs staying in the low 80s and morning temps in the upper 60s to low 70s.

SUNDAY-MONDAY

Fall finally makes a more noticeable entrance. A drier, more comfortable airmass settles in, keeping rain chances low. Mornings feel cooler with widespread 60s, and afternoon highs hover in the low 80s.
