More of the same: Coolish start in Central Florida before sunny warmup

Orlando-area highs could reach mid-80s

ORLANDO, Fla. – Central Florida is starting off with another round of cool mornings, with temperatures in the 60s.

By Thursday afternoon, high temperatures are expected to climb into the mid-80s, staying right on track for this time of year.

Afternoon sun will have things feeling comfortably warm across Central Florida, and while you might spot a cloud or two, rain is expected to be scarce. Only a handful of isolated showers are likely, and most folks should get through Thursday and Friday with dry skies overhead.

Expect winds to be a bit gusty throughout the next few afternoons, picking up between 20 to 25 mph at times. The strongest breezes are forecast to develop along the Brevard County coast. That’s also where a few isolated showers could move onshore, with coverage at 20%.

BIKETOBERFEST

Daytona Beach is in for great riding weather, with temperatures likely staying in the low 80s during the day. The chance of a stray shower is about 10% or less through Saturday, so conditions look great for the event.

NEXT FRONT

This setup will hold steady into the weekend, with temperatures rising just a bit more on Sunday and Monday as humidity ticks up ahead of the next front.

The next front is forecast to push through by late Monday, bumping the rain chance to 20-30% before ushering in another stretch of comfortably warm, fall-like weather for early next week.
